Coming off the high of Top Gun: Maverick, I had sky-high expectations for F1, and it mostly delivered. It’s more about the racing than the story, but what it does, it does really well. The Hans Zimmer score rips, the adrenaline is constant, and Brad Pitt along with the supporting cast crush it. Is it long? Yeah. Is it awesome? Also yeah. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it perfects the formula. Sometimes you don’t need groundbreaking—just give me something that works and looks good doing it.
